Possible Solutions

The Affordable Care Act was a bill introduced by the House of Representatives in 2009. It was a solution to deplete the high number of the uninsured by offering reasonably priced insurance through the marketplace. Numbers substantially decreased but, by 2017 numbers increased to over 700,000.

The government needs to make it a priority and negotiate better pricing that cater to those in need of healthcare. Other developed countries have better cost control which results in extreme low numbers for the uninsured. One solution could be Medicaid extending coverage by offering low payment fees. Another solution could be that more private, or government funded companies can offer based on income healthcare. This will accommodate the entrepreneurs and low wage employees. Affordable Care Act has helped the uninsured population but, the government is constantly altering the guidelines.
